IT was a per­fect Take­down as the Gary Moore-trained fouryear-old took out the Win­ter­bot­tom Stakes Day last Satur­day

The gen­tle gi­ant was brought home by Tim Clark, tri­umph­ing over favourites Ter­rav­ista and Mala­guerra to se­cure the win a head length off Shei­del and WA’s Rock Magic at a close third.

It’s Moore’s first Group 1 win in Aus­tralia af­ter re­turn­ing to his home coun­try af­ter a stint in Asia.

Perth Rac­ing chief ex­ec­u­tive Ju­lian Sul­li­van said dou­ble the num­ber of in­ter­state and in­ter­na­tional gal­lop­ers have com­peted in this year’s races com­pared to last year .

The TAB­touch Masters con­cludes with the Clas­sic Day on Satur­day De­cem­ber 3.

The rich­est Group 1 race in the South­ern hemi­sphere, the $1 mil­lion prize will in­clude Group 1 win­ner Good Pro­ject, back in form af­ter falling lame two weeks ago and will ride with Hugh Bow­man in the sad­dle.
