Clontarf girls celebrated

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - NEWS -

THE achievements of students at the Clontarf Aboriginal College were recognised at a special awards ceremony.

Academic, sport and leadership achievements were highlighted at the Clontarf Girls Academy Awards on November.

Girls Academy founder and chief executive officer Ricky Grace said the idea of the awards was to celebrate girls at Clontarf, specifically those who were graduating.

“There was a focus on the sporting and academic achievements and to celebrate the girls who are going to university or other post-school options.

“It was definitely an inspirational day because all of the girls were proud and we invited families, friends and supporters of the program; we had more than 100 people attend the event.

“Personally, it is satisfying to see the girls doing well and it solidifies what we are doing.”
