PERTH com­pleted the job against Mt Law­ley on Satur­day to se­cure vic­tory in round 7 of the WACA Pre­mier Cricket sea­son.

Af­ter post­ing a strong 348 in the first week of play, they bowled out the Hawks for 158.

Sec­ond grade won out­right thanks to a fan­tas­tic all-round game by Paul Nicholas and Brad Giles mopped up the tail with 5-22.

Young talent Kai Hickey scored a won­der­ful 117 to pro­pel third grade to vic­tory.

With good re­sults once again in lower grades, Perth is cur­rently third on the Club Cham­pi­onship ta­ble.

Round 8 is against Scar­bor­ough and play com­mences in First Grade at 11.40am at Fletcher Park on Satur­day.

Spec­ta­tors are very wel­come. Food and drink will be avail­able. On Sun­day, Perth won both T20 matches against South Perth and Su­bi­aco Floreat to ad­vance to the semi-fi­nals on De­cem­ber 18.

South Perth re­main in the top six de­spite a nar­row loss to Joon­dalup at Richard­son Park.

Perth Scorchers spin­ner Katie Hartshorn took one wicket for South Perth ahead of the Women’s Big Bash League, which starts on Satur­day.
