Road works start

THE City of South Perth is un­der­tak­ing road re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion works in Kens­ing­ton and Karawara as part of the 2016-17 cap­i­tal works pro­gram.

Con­struc­tion works along Mar­ket Street be­tween Dou­glas Av­enue and Collins Street and along King Street be­tween Mar­ket Street and Collins Street in Kens­ing­ton were sched­uled to start on De­cem­ber 5 and will take about three weeks.

Road re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion works along Lowan Loop, Karawara, at both in­ter­sec­tions with Walanna Drive-North (Walanna Drive to No. 18) and South (Walanna Drive to No. 42) will be un­der­taken in two stages.

Kerb re­place­ment and up­grades were due to start on Novem­ber 30 and resur­fac­ing works will start on De­cem­ber 19.

The roads will be closed at cer­tain times to traf­fic and de­tours will be in place to pro­vide for through traf­fic.
