Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - NEWS -

A REDCLIFFE man and his mother have skydived to raise money for Breast Cancer Care WA.

Tony Drake-Brockman took the leap of faith alongside his mother Chici for her birthday on December 9.

He had planned on doing the jump wearing a tutu but was unable to find one in his size.

“A few years ago I did a skydive fundraiser with some friends and at the time mum said skydiving was on her bucket list,” Mr Drake-Brockman said.

“I never forgot this and saw the opportunity to get her a ticket when the item came up for auction at Spring Day at the Races.”

Mr Drake-Brockman is hoping to raise over $10,000 for the charity.

Breast Cancer Care WA has provided breast cancer nurses, counselling and financial assistance to more than 1000 people affected by breast cancer each year for more than 15 years.

General manager Jillian Shiels said, “It is people like Tony and Chici who make all the difference.”
