Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - RESIDENTIAL -

PICTURESQUE vistas and a premium location metres to Bodkin Park are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this home’s many outstanding features.

The four-bedroom residence has also undergone a significant renovation to create the ultimate family entertainer on the 870sq m block.

After purchasing the home in 1992, the owners installed the pool and large workshop at the rear.

“In 2003, the house was renovated to add a guest wing with semi-ensuite,” one of the owners said.

“This renovation also updated and increased the size of the kitchen and laundry.”

Across the two levels, there are several living areas including an open-plan kitchen/family/meals area with the luxury kitchen featuring granite benchtops and splashbacks.

There is also a formal lounge room with views of the front yard, pool, a formal dining room, a home office with a separate entry, and an upstairs parents’ retreat with balcony overlooking the pool and nearby parklands.

For outdoor entertaining, the pool is alongside a sitting area with a scenic outlook, and there is an undercover dining area with a recessed cedar ceiling, built-in pizza oven and a barbecue.

“This house has suited us on so many levels over the years,” the owner said.

“There are enough bedrooms and living spaces for a family of seven.

“Now that our kids are grown with their own families, we still have room for our seven grandchildren to stay when they please.”

The bedrooms are all large with built-in robes, including the master with walk-in robe, ensuite, parents’ retreat and office, and there are two additional bathrooms including a semi-ensuite.

Adding to the list of features is a massive laundry, timber floors, porcelain tiles, airconditioning, and video intercom alarm system.
