Make resolution to live smarter
WITH the beginning of a new year, Shani Graham is encouraging people to think about ways they can live in a more environmentally friendly way.
Ms Graham and fellow sustainability guru Tim Darby will run a Living Smart course in the City of South Perth from February 8 to March 22.
“It’s the time of the year when people are reflecting on their life, as well as the state of the planet, economics and social issues, and they are asking themselves what they can do,” she said.
“It can be the right time to make some smart changes.”
Ms Graham said the course was designed for people who were aware of environmental and social issues but wanted to also take action.
“We cover a wide range of topics, in- d463934 cluding the traditional – power, water, living healthy – and there is a focus on starting off with simple things,” she said.
“It can be things such as changing your use of plastic or cycling to the train station.
“My tip to people is to ask themselves what’s important to them, like family and friends, and take out all the other stuff.”
