Enjoy a new view at lookout
LOCAL artists Kylie Graham and Peter Farmer Junior have created the sculpture Moorn Barndi (Black Bream) to sit at the top of the Bilya Kard Boodja Lookout.
The City of Belmont created the new park in consultation with local Aboriginal Elders, recognising the area’s Aboriginal heritage.
Meaning river (bilya), hill (kard) and land (boodja), the park was the result of a land exchange in which part of Hardy Park was relocated to create the new Hardy Park by the Swan River.
The rest of the park was combined with adjacent private land, donated by the company Cityscape, to make up the new lookout.
