WATCHDOG TAB

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - OPINION -

SO, the public have been scammed once again.

Instead of genuine honesty and common sense, we are now to see an independent watchdog set up to monitor politicians’ expenses.

What a great idea – but at what cost.

Let me guess, the department will probably have a staff of at least five costing the taxpayer at a guess $1 million per annum to cover salaries, super, annual leave etc. A figure probably much greater than the current rort. GEOFF FULLER, South Yunderup.

Not only are they taken from their mothers, these poor defenceless, frightened lambs have their throats cut, their bodies dismembered, and cooked, their flesh ripped from their bones and their bones tossed into the garbage bin as if their lives meant nothing.

I am so perplexed as to why no one gives a thought to the thousands of animals dying for the sake of humans who can quite easily survive on a plant base diet.

Humans eat too many animals and to have an advert promoting eating more is an absolute disgrace; not only bad for humans but most of all animals and the environment.

“If you could live happy and healthy lives without harming others why wouldn't we?” Edgar's Mission. J. SMITH, Glendalough.
