SOUTH Perth Cricket Club bowler Piepa Cleary has continued her strong form for the Perth Scorchers as the team qualified for the Women’s Big Bash semi-final for a second consecutive season.

Perth finished second on the overall standings after the 14 regular season matches, with the Scorchers finishing the home and away season with two games against reigning champions Sydney Thunder, which ended in one win apiece.

Cleary (pictured) continued her great form with the ball, and as a result, has managed to string four consecutive games in the starting team.

The 20-year-old has moved to nine wickets for the season, with a, awesome spell in the first game, finishing with figures of 3-16, while the second match against the Thunder proved more difficult, with Cleary ending with figures of 1-27.

Perth will host third-placed Brisbane Heat in the WBBL semi-final, which will get underway from 11.40am, while the Scorchers will host the Melbourne Stars in the BBL semi-final from 4.40pm.
