Bel­mont mixed bag

BEL­MONT 1st Grade bull­dozed ri­vals Kar­rinyup, who fin­ished the two-day bout all out for 91.

Tir­mazi (53), who also took an im­pres­sive 4-14, Tay­lor To­bias (47), Pes­cud (45) and Hig­gins (39) left Bel­mont sit­ting on a com­fort­able 260.

It was a dif­fer­ent story for Bel­mont Sec­ond grade which, de­spite the ef­forts of Martin (51), went down to Fern­dale.

Bel­mont bowlers McPhee (3-24), McLauch­lin (3-44) and Bhatt (2-9) could not stop Fern­dale, who ended the two­day game all out for 170.

Bel­mont Fifth Grade suf­fered a dis­ap­point­ment against Carlisle, all out for 191 to their ri­vals’ 250.

Hickey (77) and Ni­cholls (43) were the only stand-outs, with a weak field­ing per­for­mance ex­ploited by Carlisle’s strong bat­ting line-up.

Craig Pea­cock played his 300th game in the One Day grade game against Floreat. Bel­mont snatched vic­tory in the sec­ond-last over with a fan­tas­tic run-out by Cam Creighton
