Boy on gun theft rap

AR­MADALE De­tec­tives have charged a 16-yearold boy as a re­sult of their in­ves­ti­ga­tion into sev­eral bur­glar­ies in which ve­hi­cles and firearms were stolen from East Vic­to­ria Park, Ser­pen­tine and Oak­ford dur­ing De­cem­ber and Jan­uary.

As a re­sult of these in­quiries Ar­madale De­tec­tives, with the as­sis­tance of Rock­ing­ham De­tec­tives, ex­e­cuted a search war­rant at a home in Brown Cres­cent, Seville Grove on Sun­day, Jan­uary 29. It will be al­leged that dur­ing the search po­lice lo­cated and seized six stolen ri­fles.

The boy from Rock­ing­ham has been charged as a re­sult of the search war­rant and other bur­glary and steal­ing of­fences across the sub­urbs of Ro­ley­stone, Les­mur­die, Oak­ford, By­ford, Kar­rag­ullen, Seville Grove and Rock­ing­ham.

He has been charged with six counts of steal­ing, five counts of steal­ing a mo­tor ve­hi­cle, two counts of home bur­glary, one count of ag­gra­vated home bur­glary and one count of ag­gra­vated bur­glary. He is due to ap­pear in the Perth Chil­dren’s Court on Fe­bru­ary 9.
