State foot­ball cen­tre pledge

THE Lib­eral Party has pledged to build a State Foot­ball Cen­tre in Ash­field, to be used by Bel­mont Ju­nior and Bel­mont Villa soc­cer clubs.

Cost­ing $37 mil­lion, the cen­tre would be built at Ash­field Reserve and in­clude a grand­stand fit­ting 4000 spec­ta­tors, 700 per­ma­nent seats and an ad­min­is­tra­tion cen­tre for Foot­ball West and an A-League team.

The State Foot­ball Cen­tre would have two play­ing fields with flood­lights, one with syn­thetic turf, chang­e­rooms, gym and a sports science area.
