SOUTH Perth will play in their first Pre­mier Cricket fi­nals cam­paign in six years af­ter an up­set win over Fremantle guar­an­teed the Sky Blues a spot in the top six.

The Sky Blues caused a ma­jor boilover and in the process se­cured their fi­nals po­si­tion with one round to play.

Af­ter mak­ing 5-366 on the first day, South Perth bowled sec­ond-placed Fremantle all out for 143.

Cam Huck­ett was the chief de­stroyer for the Sky Blues with 4-19.

Huck­ett was well sup­ported by Sam Bir­chall, who claimed mul­ti­ple toporder wick­ets.

The Port Boys had no an­swer, fall­ing to 5-36 be­fore even­tu­ally be­ing bowled out.

Chris Chellew top scored with 31, with Bray­den Sut­ton mak­ing 28.

Else­where, Perth se­cured a home semi-fi­nal af­ter a com­fort­able win over Univer­sity at Fletcher Park. Chas­ing 172, Perth limped over the line to make 221 all out.

Dom Si­b­ley was pa­tient at the top of the or­der with 63, with Dain More­ton bat­ting for 145 balls to make 54.

In an out­stand­ing dis­play on an ex­tremely hot day, opener Bron­son Chabros bat­ted the en­tire in­nings in the Third Grade run chase.

Perth fin­ished 2-278, Chabros not out on 122 with seven­teen bound­aries and two sixes.

With Adam Di­sisto (95) they put on 174 for the first wicket and then an un­bro­ken part­ner­ship of 97 with Isaac Townsend (50 n.o.).

Dom Si­b­ley pro­duced 63 for Perth as the team se­cured a fi­nals place.
