ARSON Squad officers are seeking the public’s assistance to assist their investigation into a Carlisle house fire that is believed to have been deliberately lit.

On February 28 about 10.40pm, Police and Department of Fire and Emergency (DFES) were called to a report of a fire on Raleigh Street.

DFES extinguished the fire.

The damage bill is estimated to be in excess of $300,000.

Arson Squad attended the premises and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Raleigh Street at the time who saw anything suspicious.

The fire at the Raleigh Street home is believed to have been deliberately lit.
