Chil­dren in In­dia to ben­e­fit from flu vac­ci­na­tions

DIS­COUNT Drug Stores in Bel­mont have pledged to do­nate money from each flu vac­ci­na­tion sold to vac­ci­na­tion and ed­u­ca­tion pro­grams for chil­dren in In­dia. The phar­ma­cies will do­nate $2 from ev­ery $20 flu shot to char­ity or­gan­i­sa­tion Free2Be. WA’s flu sea­son runs from May to Oc­to­ber and peaks around Au­gust. The virus causes 18,000 hos­pi­tal­i­sa­tions and 300,000 GP con­sul­ta­tions across the na­tion each year.
