Safe Space for youth

THE Kensington Po­lice and Com­mu­nity Youth Cen­tre (PCYC) and Royal Perth Golf Club have es­tab­lished a youth-friendly Safe Space run­ning on Fri­day af­ter­noons from 3pm to 6pm for youth aged 12-17.

The Safe Space pro­gram pro­vides youth with a range of di­ver­sion­ary and recre­ational ac­tiv­i­ties both in cen­tre and out in the com­mu­nity us­ing its large coaster bus and a hot meal each week, which is pre­pared on­site at the Kensington PCYC.

Safe Space also pro­vides youth with ac­cess to qual­i­fied youth work­ers and Kensington PCYC-based WA Po­lice Youth crime in­ter­ven­tion of­fi­cers to sup­port and men­tor youth par­tic­i­pants.

These ser­vices are pro­vided at no cost.
