THE public has been invited to waltz into Humphreys Dance Studio when it throws its doors open as part of the Victoria Park Arts Season.

An open day will be held on April 8 from noon to 5pm, with a series of performances and dances for the public to tap their toes to.

Victoria Park mother Vicki Potter has four boys enrolled at the dance studio.

“It’s a family-run business and it’s been in the town for 50 years, which is huge,” she said.

“The open day is about throwing the doors open to anyone who has seen the blue building and wondered what’s inside. During the open day there will be kids’ classes early on, as well as classes for adults and there will be a big demonstration.

“I’d say this is the first time that the studio has held an open day but it won’t be the last; I’d encourage people to come down.”

Mrs Potter said ballroom, salsa and Latin dancing were all taught at the studio.

“For the kids there are hiphop classes and there are even private lessons for people who want to learn to dance before their wedding,” she said.
