MA­JOR Crash of­fi­cers are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a se­ri­ous crash that oc­curred in Bentley and re­sulted in two peo­ple be­ing taken to hos­pi­tal. The crash oc­curred on March 24 about 9.50pm when a sil­ver Holden util­ity drove on to the wrong side of Leach High­way and col­lided with a black Suzuki near the Al­bany High­way over­pass. The 24-year-old fe­male driver of the Suzuki re­ceived se­ri­ous leg in­juries and a 49-year-old woman who was the pas­sen­ger in the Holden util­ity re­ceived in­ter­nal in­juries. Both women were taken by am­bu­lance to Royal Perth Hos­pi­tal. The 26-year-old male driver of the Holden fled the scene and was lo­cated by po­lice a short time later. He was not in­jured. Ma­jor Crash in­ves­ti­ga­tors would like to speak to any­one who may have seen the crash, or the Holden util­ity driv­ing in the Bentley area prior to the crash. Any mo­torist who may have dash cam vision of the Holden driv­ing on the in­cor­rect side of the road is asked to con­tact po­lice.
