EASY PICKINGS LEFT IN PLAIN SIGHT

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - STREET WATCH -

THE amount of valuable property that is still being left in plain sight in vehicles is disturbing. We are continuously having thefts of i-Pads, laptops, phones, sunglasses and wallets. Unfortunately, so many thieves are opportunistic and will need no second chance in taking something when they come across it. These crimes are being committed right under our noses, with some vehicles being left unattended for only a few minutes. If you continue to leave your valuables in plain sight, before you know it you will be filing police reports to say your credit cards have been fraudulently used. WA Police are now halfway through Operation Sweep to prevent these crimes. We ask the public to always be aware, do not leave valuables in plain sight and to report any suspicious behaviour you see in the community. – Senior Sergeant Ash Goy
