Home treadmills warning
PARENTS have been issued a warning about the dangers of treadmills after a three-year-old girl from South Hedland suffered serious friction burns. Acting Consumer Protection Commissioner David Hillyard said many children were injured by friction burns each year, while in severe accidents children have needed skin grafts and lost the normal use of their fingers and hands. “Consumers need to be cautious when using treadmills when there are children in the home," he said.
