Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - NEWS -

A LONG table picnic on the South Perth foreshore was a talking point for many walkers, joggers and locals out in the sunshine when the Cancer Council WA launched Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.

The official event date for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is on May 25 but morning teas can be hosted in May or June.

Cancer Council fundraising manager Betty Cottrell said the foreshore was a perfect setting for the gathering on April 8.

“Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is an opportunity to gather your friends and loved ones together to raise funds to ensure Cancer Council can continue its vital work, including support for those affected by cancer,” she said.

Those wishing to host a morning tea can register their event at biggestmorning tea.com.au or call 1300 65 65 85 to receive a free host kit with fundraising ideas, party tips and recipes from celebrity chefs.
