AR­SON Squad of­fi­cers are seek­ing the pub­lic’s as­sis­tance with in­for­ma­tion to as­sist with their in­ves­ti­ga­tion into a house fire in Carlisle on April 13. About 9.30pm, po­lice and the Depart­ment of Fire and Emer­gency Ser­vices were called to a report of a house fire at an ad­dress on Bish­ops­gate Street. A woman was home at the time of the in­ci­dent but was not injured. The fire caused ex­ten­sive dam­age to the home, es­ti­mated at $250,000. Ar­son Squad de­tec­tives are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the cause of the fire and would like to speak to any­one who was in the area of Bish­ops­gate Street be­tween 9pm and 10pm who saw any sus­pi­cious ac­tiv­ity, per­sons or ve­hi­cles in the area. KENS­ING­TON PO­LICE are try­ing to find the own­ers of items found in a stolen mo­tor ve­hi­cle that they dis­cov­ered in Kens­ing­ton on April 14, in­clud­ing a lap­top that has an English/Ara­bic key­board, mak­ing it rel­a­tively dis­tinc­tive. Po­lice be­lieve the items were stolen in the South or South East Metro district be­tween April 12 and 13. Any­one who be­lieves the items to be theirs is asked to call Kens­ing­ton po­lice sta­tion and quote the IR num­ber 130417 1200 14210.


BEL­MONT po­lice are seek­ing help to iden­tify this per­son af­ter a car was bro­ken into and credit cards stolen be­fore they were used to spend more than $5000.
