Student chefs shine

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - OPINION -

WA’s best apprentice chefs battled it out for culinary supremacy at Belmont City College last week.

The final of the Culpepers WA Apprentice Chef Competition was held at the school’s trade training centre on April 27, with apprentices going head to head in a Masterchefstyle competition.

Hospitality students from the school honed their organisation skills in greeting guests and assisting with the final.

The winner was Hean KhengKang d468489 (Melvin), a second year apprentice chef with Alpha Flight Services.

Along with taking out the title, Melvin won two tickets to Munich with five nights accommodation.
