In-House partnership WAFL first
DEMONS TO HELP SICK COUNTRY KIDS
PERTH Football Club has become the first WAFL club to partner with Ronald McDonald House (RMH) and is excited about working together to provide a home away from home for regional WA families who have a sick child receiving hospital treatment in Perth.
The Demons have a large country district, from Wongan Hills in the east to Dongara in the north.
So it was a natural fit to support a foundation that provides free accommodation to families when they have to travel far from home to obtain specialist medical care for their sick child.
The club will contribute to the house financially by raising money through the dedication of a RMH home game.
It will also take part in the Central Park Plunge and shake tins at other events throughout the year.
Perth will also provide support in the form of player volunteering, cooking meals for the families and hosting unique kids’ events at both the football club and at the house.
Together they hope to provide a safe and comfortable environment where the whole family can stay and thrive together for the duration of their child’s treatment.
