IN the four weeks to July 3, there were 190 lo­cal prop­erty sales across houses, units and land, which is an in­crease of 43 per cent over the four-week pe­riod.

Com­pared to the same time last year, sales are higher by 12 per cent.

In the over­all Perth mar­ket, sales have in­creased to 2505, a rise of 18 per cent over the four-week pe­riod and eight per cent higher than the same time last year.

Rivervale tops the sales list at 27.

Prop­er­ties avail­able for sale in the lo­cal area have de­creased by four per cent over the past four weeks and are six per cent lower than the same time last year.

To­tal list­ings in the metropoli­tan area de­creased by five per cent over the four-week pe­riod and are two per cent lower than the same time last year.

The av­er­age time to sell in the lo­cal area has in­creased by five days to 72 days for the three months to June.

The av­er­age time to sell in the metropoli­tan area is up by three days to 70 days.

REIWA mem­bers re­ported 452 to­tal prop­er­ties (houses and units) leased for the four­week pe­riod, an in­crease of six per cent over the last four weeks and 19 per cent higher than the same time last year.

List­ings in the South­ern Gazette area have re­mained sta­ble in the four-week pe­riod and are one per cent lower than the same time last year.

In the over­all mar­ket, list­ings have re­mained sta­ble over the four-week pe­riod but are three per cent lower than the same time last year.

The over­all me­dian weekly rent for the lo­cal area for the three months to June is $340/week, which is $40 lower than the three months to June 2016.

Sim­i­larly, the over­all me­dian rent for Perth has fallen $30 in the three months to June.

Av­er­age time to rent in the lo­cal area has in­creased to 54 days in the three months to June.
