WEM­B­LEY po­lice have been in­ves­ti­gat­ing a se­ries of bur­glar­ies at busi­ness premises in the Su­bi­aco area dur­ing April. On July 11, eight bur­glar­ies were also car­ried out in the Cottes­loe, Clare­mont, Mos­man Park and Pep­per­mint Grove ar­eas. On July 16, six bur­glar­ies were fur­ther car­ried out on com­mer­cial premises in the Ned­lands area. An op­er­a­tion was ini­ti­ated and on July 19 po­lice ex­e­cuted a search war­rant at an ad­dress in Bent­ley. It will be al­leged items seized dur­ing the war­rant in­cluded items as­so­ci­ated with the bur­glar­ies, such as a sledge­ham­mer, crow bar and items sus­pected as hav­ing been stolen dur­ing the bur­glar­ies. A 34-year-old man of Bent­ley has been sub­se­quently charged with six counts of bur­glary with in­tent, five counts of at­tempted bur­glary with in­tent, pos­sess­ing pro­hib­ited drugs (cannabis and methy­lam­phetamine), pos­sess­ing drug para­pher­na­lia, and five counts of steal­ing.
