Dis­abil­ity fo­rums

THE City of Bel­mont is hold­ing two com­mu­nity fo­rums in Au­gust to talk about dis­abil­ity ac­cess and in­clu­sion.

If you have a dis­abil­ity, are liv­ing with or car­ing for some­one with a dis­abil­ity, work­ing in the dis­abil­ity, ed­u­ca­tion or busi­ness sec­tor or sim­ply have a pas­sion for con­tribut­ing to an ac­ces­si­ble and in­clu­sive com­mu­nity in the City, you can have your voice heard and share your ex­pe­ri­ences at these up­com­ing ses­sions.

There will also be guest speak­ers, in­clud­ing Be­friend (launch­ing the Be­friendly Bel­mont Project) and the Youth Dis­abil­ity Ad­vo­cacy Network.

Reg­is­tra­tion for the fo­rums at Forster Park Com­mu­nity Cen­tre is es­sen­tial, via Eventbrite.

Ses­sions are from 10am to noon on Wed­nes­day, Au­gust 9, and on Thurs­day, Au­gust 10, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
