Book Week wel­comes work

YOUNG artists and po­ets are in­vited to en­ter the Chil­dren’s Book Week Com­pe­ti­tion at Ruth Faulkner Pub­lic Li­brary. Chil­dren be­tween kinder­garten and Year 6 can sub­mit their best work to be in the run­ning to win a suit­case full of books, art sup­plies and more. One suit­case will be awarded to the best artist and one to the best poet in each cat­e­gory. The work must in­cor­po­rate this year’s Book Week theme, “Es­cape to Ev­ery­where”. En­tries close on Sat­ur­day, Au­gust 19, and will be dis­played in the li­brary over Book Week be­fore win­ners are an­nounced on Fri­day, Au­gust 25. Sub­mit your art or po­etry in per­son at Ruth Faulkner Pub­lic Li­brary, or scan and email your work to li­b­in­fodesk@bel­mont.wa.gov.au
