GRAB THIS OPPORTUNITY
VERY rarely does a residence such as this come on the market, with only six apartments in the tightly held complex.
Owners Martin and Judy, farmers from the Great Southern, bought this Perth base in 2008 and are only the second owners of the home.
“We are also the last people to purchase in this complex; all apartments are owneroccupied,” Judy said.
“The complex is very secure, with security codes needed to access the gate and front door.
“It also has a swimming pool and each apartment has its own lockable storeroom.”
The first-floor home has a welcoming open-plan design, with a lounge room and dining area that extends easily on to a north-facing balcony with city glimpses.
“Having large sliding doors to the balconies on both the north and south-facing ends of the house provide views across Richardson Park and towards the city,” Judy said.
“It also allows a cooling breeze to flow through the whole apartment in the evenings during summer.”
The residence also has a huge private terrace at the rear for alfresco entertaining and three large bedrooms, all with outdoor access.
“Although the apartment was in good condition, we felt it needed modernising, so in 2015 we replaced the cabinet fronts in the kitchen with gloss softclosing doors to give them a more contemporary style, and we converted some of the cupboards into large drawers,” Judy said.
“We also completely renovated the bathroom and ensuite with custom cabinetry, new tiles and tapware, a heated towel rail, and a new toilet and Essastone benchtops in the ensuite.
“The floors were also retiled with the exception of the two main bedrooms, which received new carpet.”
The apartment also has splitsystem airconditioning and secure, sheltered parking for two cars.
“Close to Mends and Angelo streets means we are an easy walk to a variety of restaurants, the ferry and amenities. Morning walks along the river or to Kings Park are another positive,” Judy said.
