Shop breached food code

A CLOVERDALE shop has been fined for breach­ing the WA Food Stan­dards Code. Bel­mont Mar­ket on Bel­mont Av­enue was found to sell items with in­ad­e­quate nu­tri­tion in­for­ma­tion and sup­plier con­tact de­tails on the la­bel, sell food with­out im­porter or dis­trib­u­tor in­for­ma­tion on the prod­uct la­bel, and had not com­plied with the nu­tri­tion in­for­ma­tion panel on the la­bel. The of­fences oc­curred on Novem­ber 21 last year, Fe­bru­ary 10, 2017, and Au­gust 2, 2017. The store has been fined $3000 plus costs of $1340.35.
