THE GHOSTS of Belmont are set to take over Ruth Faulkner Public Library for a special spooky event. Diabolical! The Dark Past of Belmont: A Rock ‘N’ Roll Halloween Trip Through Belmont’s History will see the library open after hours on Friday, October 27, for a special multimedia show about Belmont’s eerie history. Join experimental music arts collective Genrefonix, known for their sold out appearances at the Fremantle Prison and Revelation Film Festival, as they perform original horror music and soundscapes live alongside real photos and newspaper headlines. All are invited to dress up in their ghoulish best and wander through the Belmont Museum by torchlight. The event is free but bookings are essential – head to Eventbrite to reserve your spot. Diabolical! runs from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, with the multimedia musical performance to take place from 6pm to 6.45pm.
