Holiday craft fun at libraries

-

Colourful creations were on the cards the past two weeks at the Berrigan Shire Libraries, as dozens of children tried their hand at terracotta craft.

The free events were held at Finley, Tocumwal and Barooga libraries and Barooga’s Ros Rowe said as part of the school holiday activities, children could choose a terracotta plate, heart or bird to decorate.

‘‘We had ribbons, feathers, glitter and jewels and then we glazed them with Modpodge, which made them look really good,’’ she said.

‘‘It’s great to be able to offer a free activity to children and encourage them to have fun and be creative during the school holidays.’’

Up to 30 children attended the popular activity at each library.
