Save the Finley hotels
Dear Editor, Whilst they appear not to be accepting the degree of progress they have made as achieving success, one has to admire the dogged tenacity of the members of what appears to be two groups of a similarly orchestrated, well-meaning, community minded people, who over recent months managed to take up numerous column inches of space in your paper to plead their case in regard to their belief in the need to save both the Finley Presbyterian Church and the building they claim to be the Finley War Memorial Hall.
In recent times, Finley has seen the closure of another two Finley institutions which date back to as early as 1898.
With their demonstrated experience in progressing a cause and commitment toward the well-being of Finley it would not be unreasonable to ask if it would be possible for this same group of citizens to expand their endeavours and lead a program to ‘Save the Finley Hotels’.
Yours etc. Norman Wilson Finley
