Teapot Cafe undefeated
Finley Touch Footy held both of its grand final games last week with two highly entertaining and competitive deciders.
In A Grade it was an undefeated Teapot Cafe taking on Giants.
The first half was try for try with Isobelle Bradford scoring the Giants’ two tries out on both wings, while Teapot’s Tom McCarney and Sam Price managed to break through the Giants’ tight defence.
At half time the score was 3-2 in favour of Teapots.
A three try second half from Matt Wilson unfortunately was not enough for the young Giants, going down in the end 7-5 to a determined Teapot side.

B grade’s decider was between Fortitude Frames and reigning premier Yippee Try Yey.
Frames dominated for the most part of the game going into half time with a convincing lead, 4-2.
A late comeback from Yippee Try Yey saw them stack on four tries to one in the second half crowning them B grade victors for the second year in a row with a slim onetry margin, 6-5.

Finley Touch Footy also had a presentation for the end of season awards.
Players’ Player was Tom McCarney (Teapot Cafe) and leading try scorer was Paul Massingham (Logie Brae Larrikins) with 36 tries for the season.
Other awards were: Best Male - Lachy Pyle (Larrikins), Best Female - Kiara Keating (Larrikins), Most Improved - Lily Sharp (The Giant Killers).
