Long proud history

-

Landmark Mills began operating at the Finley Saleyards more than 22 years ago — on June 1, 1995.

Operating director and stock and station agent Peter Mills is the longest serving stock agent under the one entity in the Finley area, and Landmark Mills financial manager Emma Hurlston said his industry knowledge is first-class.

‘‘Peter has over 20 years of experience in this area alone, and over 35 years in the field,’’ she said.

‘‘His dealings with clients are one-onone, so you know you are always going to receive a personal service to suit your needs.’’

With the able assistance of Michael Archer and newcomer Tim Meulendyks, Landmark Mills pride themselves on offer- ing friendly, personal service at the Finley Sheep Market and the Finley Cattle Market on alternate weeks.

The Finley Saleyard Complex equal this friendly service, providing one of the last ring selling centres for cattle markets around, giving both buyers and vendors instant weight and prices as the cattle are sold.

‘‘This traditional feature of the Finley Saleyard Complex means buyers and vendors are able to view the beasts and receive the same information instantaneously, instead of waiting for it to be posted online,’’ Emma said.
