Enriching your child’s learning
This year has already shaped up to be yet another busy year at Tocumwal Public School.
Tocumwal Public provides all students with the opportunity to participate in extra curricular activities, including sporting, musical and science-based programs.
Senior students currently have the opportunity to participate in online competitions against students from across Australasia.
These competitions cover research skills, science (including lunchtime experiments) and current affairs.
Students also have the opportunity to be involved in public speaking competitions, Premier’s Reading and Spelling challenges and University of NSW assessments.
On the sporting front, TPS competes in many knock-out competitions like cricket, netball, AFL, soccer and softball.
Both the male and female softball teams regularly make it to the finals of the Riverina region, and we have already had a number students attend NSW PSSA State Carnivals so far this year.
Tocumwal Public School aims to provide students with as many opportunities as possible to enrich and motivate their learning.
Teachers gladly use their own time to provide these activities and are rewarded by the delight students show in the learning process.
Tocumwal Public students and staff take pride in their school, and this is shown in the friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Each year our classes take part in excursions, to expand on studies back at school.
We are celebrating Education Week with many activities including a book fair and a leadership luncheon.
We welcome all new and prospective families to contact us to hear more about our wonderful school and what it can offer you and your children.
