Cricket Club needs com­mu­nity sup­port

The Ber­ri­gan Cricket Club will be hold­ing a spe­cial an­nual gen­eral meet­ing tonight at 7.30pm, at the Fed­eral Ho­tel.

Ev­ery­one is wel­come and sup­port is needed if peo­ple want the club to con­tinue.

All po­si­tions are open and the club is fi­nan­cial.

The club has strong ju­nior num­bers and it would be great to see as many par­ents from all grades at the meet­ing.

The RSL Sub-branch held a sausage siz­zle and wood raf­fle last Thurs­day. The raf­fle was won by Woody Mo­tors. The com­mit­tee would like to thank the com­mu­nity for its con­tin­ued sup­port.

As part of the Ber­ri­gan Com­mu­nity Golf and Bowl­ing Club de-amal­ga­ma­tion pro- cess, com­mu­nity mem­bers are en­cour­aged to sign up as a so­cial mem­ber for $10.

As part of the new en­tity, Ber­ri­gan Com­mu­nity Golf and Bowl­ing Club, a min­i­mum of 100 new mem­bers is needed for a meet­ing to be held in Au­gust to vote to dea­mal­ga­mate with Ba­rooga Spor­ties.

St. Columba’s Pri­mary School will be run­ning its pop­u­lar ‘Play to Learn’ pro­gram for all stu­dents start­ing Kin­der­garten in 2018.

All chil­dren in the Ber­ri­gan and sur­round­ing ar­eas are wel­come to at­tend.

The pro­gram will be held ev­ery Wed­nes­day from to­day from 10.30am to 2pm.

The Bowl­ing Club will be hav­ing a so­cial day with Rand Bowls Club on Au­gust 20.

A bus is or­gan­ised and the first 30 peo­ple to put their names on the list will get a seat.

A great night was held at the foot­ball rooms last Satur­day with the Goods and Ser­vices Auction.

The club wish to thank the com­mu­nity for their sup­port on this night.

The next so­cial func­tion com­ing up will be the Sun­day af­ter the last game for the year against Strath­mer­ton, which will be the 100 Club.
