The Fin­ley Bak­ery and Patis­serie hosted a very pop­u­lar cup­cake dec­o­rat­ing com­pe­ti­tion at the 100th Fin­ley Show.

To cel­e­brate the oc­ca­sion, bak­ery owner An­drew Richard­son kindly do­nated 100 cup­cakes.

The com­pe­ti­tion drew 99 ea­ger chil­dren and one spe­cial en­trant— 99 year-old Fin­ley Dawe.

Mr Richard­son said it was great see­ing so many tak­ing part in the dec­o­rat­ing.

‘‘We sup­port the com­mu­nity and it’s very im­por­tant to sup­port the show.

‘‘It was a great at­mos­phere, watch­ing all the par­ents en­cour­ag­ing their kids to get in­volved.

‘‘Many of our staff are young adults, so we are in­tro­duc­ing them to th­ese great com­mu­nity events like the Fin­ley Show.’’

The judges an­nounced Sam Hurl­ston, An­drew Frost, Grace Mueller and Cas­san­dra Dun­don as the win­ners.

Af­ter the win­ners were an­nounced the cup­cakes were re­ported to ‘‘dis­ap­pear’’ very quickly.

Supreme Cham­pion Show Hunter Under Sad­dle win­ner Fil­lipa Mar­shall on Filou Lane Monty Carlo, with judges Diane Au­mann and In­dia Rose Hutchi­son.

Fin­ley Dawe, 99, did not let age stop him from be­ing in­volved in the cup­cake dec­o­rat­ing com­pe­ti­tion.
