Gayle wins medal
Tocumwal Tuesday saw 36 ladies playing Stroke/Monthly Medal/BG, that saw Division One gross and nett going to Maree Kelly with 91 and 74 respectively. Runner-up was Cheryl Hart 76.
Division Two gross was Gayle Blakey with 98. Division Two nett went to Gayle Edwards with 70 which gave her the Monthly Medal, with Beverly Campbell runner-up on 72.
NTPs went to Jillian Collins 2nd, Trish Frost 8th, Pro Pin $29 went to Bev Richard.
On Wednesday, seven members played the Gold Course with Laurence Rickard taking the honours with 38 points.
On the Blue Course 95 men played with Division One going to Derek McMahon with 40 points followed by Tony Kelly on 39.
Terry Stokes was the Division Two winner with 39 points, runner-up went to John Washbrook 37.
Division Three was won by Alan Mickowlsky 41 points followed by Alan Leggate 39.
NTPs went to Aaron Dale 14th, Jim Williams 18th, Eagles Nest went to Aaron Dale 13th.
Saturday was four-person stableford with the three best scores counted.
Alan Mickowsky/A Beveridge/L Gilbee/P Gilbee who had 121 were the winners, while second place was J. Simm/K. Conrad/K. Conrad/ J. Sacco 119 on countback from T. Stokes/B. McCallum/ P. Olsen/I. McFarlane.
NTPs went to Susan Davies and David Donchi 2nd, Valerie Stark and Bruce McCallum 18th.
Sunday was stroke for six ladies with Cheryl Hart the winner with 74.
Three men played stroke on the Gold Course with Lindsey Gilbee the winner with 74.
Monthly Medal stroke saw 61 members taking part with Division One gross and nett won by Ross Sidebottom, with 77 gross and 68 nett to claim the medal.
Division One runner-up went to Colin McNamara 70 while Division Two gross was James Wilson 90 and nett winner was Norm Brosnan 73.
Kevin Morey was the Division Three gross winner with 93 and nett winner with 69.
NTP went to Bruce Smith 17th.
Finley Ladies Ladies took to the course for their Monthly Medal sponsored by the Braybon Family.
Nett and Monthly Medal winner was Glennice Martin 96-31-65, with runner-up Glenys Creek on 104-36-68.
Putting went to Helen Wastle 28 putts who also claimed scratch ball with 89.
Ball winners: Glenda McCullough 70 nett, Kerrie Carlon 70 nett, Kath Klemke 71 net.

Finley Rodger Sutton with 41 stableford points stepped into the winner’s circle at the J & H Braybon Men’s competition on Wednesday.
NTP on the 18th was Rand Wilson and balls went to Barry Wilson (38), Barry Fahey (37) and John Lacy (37). The Matt Daniel Plumb- ing NAGA jackpotted.
At the first of the October Play 9 Stableford event on Thursday afternoon it was Geoff Boscombe with 28 nett who collected the voucher.
Balls went to Martin Cruickshank and Rodger Sutton each with 33 nett.
There was an exceptional turnout on Saturday, however it was not to play golf it was to carry out the annual green coring, which was completed to perfection along with other works on the course.
Final touches were completed on Sunday which meant no golf was played over the weekend.
At the weekend on Saturday stroke will be played and stableford on Sunday.
SR Vets The October Southern Riverina Veterans Golf Association Competition round was played at Jerilderie on Monday with 75 golfers taking part.
Stableford was played and Wayne Knowles (Yarrawonga/Mulwala) with 36 points took the A Grade trophy while Laurie Blackmore (Jerilderie) on 35 points after countback was runner-up.
Tom Wilton ( Tocumwal) with 40 points took B Grade, with Brian Knowell ( Cobram/Barooga) with 39 points runner-up.
Bruce Manning (Cobram/ Barooga) with 41 points took C Grade along with the day’s High Score Trophy while Garry Ennals (Cobram/Barooga) on 38 points was runner-up.
A Grade NTP went to Paul Wisnieski (Cobram/Barooga), B Grade Ross Lacy (Cobram/Barooga), C Grade Garry Ennals (Cobram/Barooga) and All Grades went to Peter Shand (Berrigan).
Balls were awarded to players with 30 points and better.
