Pennant bowlers ready
Tocumwal Monday morning is our new time for social bowling, with 9.30am for a 10am start.
It has been a big success and we are happy to welcome guest bowlers when they are staying in our town. Ring reception on 5874 9111 to put your name on the list.
Monday October 2 winners were Elaine Ball and Bob Bowman.
The men continue to enjoy their trade days with at least four teams attending the host clubs.
The next ladies trade day will be on Wednesday, October 25 at Finley, so ladies start getting your teams together for a fun day.
Bowls Victoria have designated October as Play Bowls Month.
Sunday saw a group of new people interested in seeing the game in action and having a try on our greens.
Our coach Chris Philpot gave them some tips.

Finley BC The Finley Bowling Club had a great triples tournament on October 2, sponsored by Mark 11 Automotive Tocumwal, Greg Pyle Insurance and Peg Reid family.
Winners on the day were Ashleigh Haines, Nan Smith and Matt Hannan, while runners-up were Laurie Vinnecombe, Ophelia Cochrane and Norm Barnes.
First game winner - Nev- ille Ingram’s team from Cobram, second game winner - Mark Baldwin, Terry Chaplin and Ken Dallas from Jerilderie, and third game winner - Billy Smith, and Ray and Nola Woods. A big thank you goes to the generous sponsors.
The Ladies Pairs Champions for this season are Nan Smith and Betty Robinson who defeated Heather Tabe and Tracey Miles in the final.
