Southern Riverina news - - NEWS -

The latest round of NSW Government heritage funding is open.

The three grant programs aim to fund projects that promote and help put planning in place to protect the state’s heritage.

NSW Member for Albury Greg Aplin said the latest round of NSW Heritage Grants would help local communities preserve their heritage for future generations.

The latest NSW Heritage Grants are available in three streams.

Aboriginal Heritage grants of up to $70,000 are available for projects that conserve and promote items of Aboriginal cultural heritage listed on the State Heritage Register or gazetted as an Aboriginal Place.

Projects which support the promotion, protection and celebration of NSW heritage can apply for grants of $25,000 to $50,000.

Councils can also apply for grants to prepare heritage reports and heritage planning studies.

Grant applications are open until November 29. Go to for details.
