Michelle Barnes has been an­nounced as the 2018 Fin­ley Show Girl.

Fin­ley Show So­ci­ety be­gan show week with show girl judg­ing that in­cluded in­ter­views and a ‘meet and greet’ over break­fast with judges Lyn­dall Horne, Troy Mar­shall and Matt Peter­son at the Coun­try Club Ho­tel.

The con­tes­tants - Michelle Barnes, Mad­die Dun­don and Rhi­anna Jamieson - were in­ter­viewed by show girl co­or­di­na­tor and 2017 Fin­ley Show Girl Maicie Close be­fore the judges, com­mit­tee mem­bers and fam­ily and friends dur­ing an af­ter­noon tea held at the Bob Close Pav­il­ion.

Ms Close spoke about her ex­pe­ri­ence as 2017 Show Girl and her jour­ney to the zone and state fi­nals. She en­cour­aged young ladies to enter the com­pe­ti­tion, say­ing it is not a beauty pageant but a great op­por­tu­nity and ex­pe­ri­ence not to be missed.

Michelle Barnes was an­nounced the 2018 Fin­ley Show Girl, with Rhi­anna Jamieson the run­ner-up.

The con­tes­tants will all at­tend the show on Sun­day where they will be judg­ing the Ju­nior Show Girl and as­sist­ing with rib­bon pre­sen­ta­tions

Also an­nounced was 2018 Show Per­son­al­ity Aimee Snow­den. Aimee, who is a 2016 RAS Ru­ral Achiever, is an am­bas­sador of the show move­ment and judges be­lieved she was the ideal choice for Show Per­son­al­ity.
