Tocumwal Sacred Heart School student Annie McLeod has again shown her compassion for animals by organising a Cupcake Day to raise money for the RSPCA on Friday.

This is the third time the Year 6 student has baked cupcakes for the animal welfare charity.

Annie said all animals should be treated with respect and care.

She was joined by three other students, Kate Purtill, Sarah Johnson and Molly McLeod who baked and iced more than 150 cupcakes to help this worthy cause.

Students from Sacred Heart enjoyed the sweet treats at recess and raised an impressive $357.80.

The staff at the Tocumwal Pharmacy also enjoyed a delicious morning tea of cupcakes.

This money will be used by the RSPCA to pay for the treatment and care for homeless, ill treated and sick animals.

Selling cupcakes for animals were (from left) Molly McLeod, Sarah Johnson, Annie McLeod and Kate Purtill.
