Bingo pro­ceeds help Fin­ley Re­gional Care

Fin­ley RS Club is con­tin­u­ing its work of giv­ing back to the com­mu­nity by rais­ing money for Fin­ley Re­gional Care.

Ev­ery month the Fin­ley RS Club will do­nate a por­tion of the books sold for Sun­day bingo to the age care fa­cil­ity.

On Thurs­day the RS Club do­nated $188 from money raised in Septem­ber.

Fin­ley RS Club gen­eral man­ager Sharen Parm­ley said choos­ing Fin­ley Re­gional Care was about con­tin­u­ing the strong re­la­tion­ship be­tween the two.

‘‘We’ve al­ways do­nated to Fin­ley Re­gional Care,’’ she said.

‘‘It’s com­mon for the res­i­dents to come to the venue through­out the week or some­times they’re here for var­i­ous cel­e­bra­tions.

‘‘There’s no time­frame of how long this will go on for, but we hope it can be a per­ma­nent fix­ture.

‘‘Es­sen­tially the more books play­ers pur­chase the more we can do­nate back into Fin­ley Re­gional Care.’’

Fin­ley Re­gional Care CEO Ben Levesque said the money do­nated will go to­wards pur­chas­ing equip­ment for res­i­dents.

The rest of the money raised from bingo books will go back into cash prizes for the com­peti­tors.

Sun­day Bingo at the Fin­ley RS Club starts at 2pm. A half book is $5 and a full book is $10.
