Bingo proceeds help Finley Regional Care
Finley RS Club is continuing its work of giving back to the community by raising money for Finley Regional Care.
Every month the Finley RS Club will donate a portion of the books sold for Sunday bingo to the age care facility.
On Thursday the RS Club donated $188 from money raised in September.
Finley RS Club general manager Sharen Parmley said choosing Finley Regional Care was about continuing the strong relationship between the two.
‘‘We’ve always donated to Finley Regional Care,’’ she said.
‘‘It’s common for the residents to come to the venue throughout the week or sometimes they’re here for various celebrations.
‘‘There’s no timeframe of how long this will go on for, but we hope it can be a permanent fixture.
‘‘Essentially the more books players purchase the more we can donate back into Finley Regional Care.’’
Finley Regional Care CEO Ben Levesque said the money donated will go towards purchasing equipment for residents.
The rest of the money raised from bingo books will go back into cash prizes for the competitors.
Sunday Bingo at the Finley RS Club starts at 2pm. A half book is $5 and a full book is $10.
