Beach fire damage limited despite an increased risk
Police allege a small group of youths was responsible for a small fire on Town Beach in Tocumwal on Monday night.
At 6.45pm fire crews were called to the location and quickly extinguished the fire.
With the bush fire season being called a month earlier in Berrigan Shire due to the dry conditions, police say it was lucky the damage was kept to a minimum.
They say the potential for the fire to spread was a concern.
Police said a witness reported seeing a group of younger people fleeing from the site.
Eggs were thrown at a Finley property on Saturday morning, causing damage to an awning.
The damage was found about 7.30am in Tocumwal St.
It is believed the eggs were thrown some time after midnight.
Theft from kitchen
Brand new kitchen appliances purchased for a home being renovated in Barooga, including a dishwasher, have been stolen.
The new kitchen items were placed in the home about 4.30pm on October 1, and were gone at 7am the next day.
Police say the property was vacant at the time of the theft.
