Fin­ley RS Club gen­eral man­ager Sharen Parm­ley is en­cour­ag­ing other hos­pi­tal­ity small busi­nesses to en­dorse Se­niors Card dis­counts to help at­tract more users.

New re­search from NSW Se­niors Card has re­vealed NSW se­niors are more likely to try a new busi­ness if it of­fers a Se­niors Card dis­count or of­fer.

The find­ings, yielded from a sur­vey of over 35,000 se­niors in NSW, also re­vealed 61 per cent of se­niors wished more lo­cal busi­nesses hon­oured the Se­niors Card, with 70 per cent agree­ing they would go back to a busi­ness if it of­fered a NSW Se­niors Card dis­count.

Ms Parm­ley said she’s found reg­is­ter­ing with NSW Se­niors Card has helped her busi­ness at­tract trav­ellers and lo­cals.

‘‘A lot of se­niors are very tech savvy these days and are en­dors­ing smart­phone apps.

‘‘They can sim­ply go on­line, type into the search bar Fin­ley and it will show all the reg­is­tered busi­nesses in Fin­ley that ac­cept Se­niors Card.

‘‘The Fin­ley RS Club of­fers a 10 per cent dis­count for peo­ple who present their Se­niors Card.’’

Ms Parm­ley said by hav­ing a Se­niors Card of­fer it can help busi­nesses stand out from oth­ers.

‘‘Peo­ple choose to come to Fin­ley RS Club be­cause we of­fer se­niors dis­counts.

‘‘Other busi­nesses can re­ally ben­e­fit from of­fer­ing se­niors dis­counts,’’ Ms Parm­ley said.
