Rain welcomed by community gardens
The beautiful rain this week has been good for our community gardens.
We now have a donation slot on the front of the container, thanks to John Walker and Rob Way.
Please help yourself to herbs, snow peas, spinach and broad beans for a gold coin donation.
Thanks Stuart and Arlena for the donation of weld mesh for the arbour, which will go up in the next week.
We are planting seedlings for summer vegetables and potting plants for sale, call in and have a chat on Wednesday 1.30pm or Saturday for a cuppa 9.30am. Christmas Quilted Wall Hanging?

Forty people turned up to play in the golf and bowls fun day to raise money for MND and drought relief.
Nine holes of golf was played and some handy scores came in, a barbeque lunch was enjoyed by all thanks to cook David Batten.
The second part of the day was bowls which certainly created lot's of laughter as there was a few inexperienced players who took a while to get the hang of bowls, as well as lots of bantering among players.
The winning team was Fraser Haintz, Matt Hansen and Tom Whelan.
Results of the day are in the bowls/golf section of the paper.
Thank you to everyone who supported the day.
Please save the date for the Christmas Market Night/Carols on Friday, December 7.
This year the Carols will also be held on the same night as the market night.
There will be stalls, the Red Cross Extravaganza and plenty of entertainment for the children.
If you would like to book a stall please email Marianne Whelan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
