Sense of safety is gone
Why is it when you read the paper, switch on the TV or go on Facebook even, there is always news on violence?
Groups beating others up for no reason, and groups on solos beating them up.
Then you have road rage, school bullying and then there’s people going missing with no reason why. What has become of this world we live in, where there is violence all over the place?
What has happened to the world where people help others, rather than beat them up and take and leave; what has happened to a safe society, where you felt safe walking the streets, day or night, where you could drive about and be safe in your car, whether it be sitting at the lights or at the beach, or on the freeway.
What is this Government going to do to bring the safety back into this world, like it once was?
I, and I’m sure many others, would feel that this world, country and states should be how they used to be many moons ago. We need to feel safe in our homes and out on the street and in our cars.
This is not a good world to bring up kids, as with the lack of discipline, a lot of kids today are feral; this is where a lot of problems lie.
Bring back safety and the feeling of being safe.
I do but I don't think you see it — it’s a silent epidemic. We’re too soft here. Students from Year 8 need to be educated on the dangers ... and I also think that people sweep it under the rug when it needs to exposed. Sang Mauger, Rockingham
