One of Kwinana’s newest and most well loved attractions recently received high praise at the 2017 Parks and Leisure Australia Awards of Excellence presentations.

Kwinana Adventure Park was named Park of the Year, Community Program of the Year, and Playspace of the Year.

City of Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams said the local government was immensely proud to be home to the State’s best park.

“Adventure Park is undoubtedly the most popular family destination in Kwinana, and it seems the rest of WA agrees,” she said.

“We have worked hard over the past several years to really put Kwinana ‘on the map’, create something unique to our City and winning these awards is yet another encouraging mark of success. Our $5.2 million Adventure Park has become a major drawcard for Kwinana, attracting people from far and wide to experience all that our wonderful City has to offer.”

The park was recognised in the awards for its cultural seating and timber posts — a project worked on by local Aboriginal youth as well as its drawcard attractions such as a splash pad, tree maze and sand factory.
